Before you launch into your next backyard earthmoving job, there are a couple of options to consider. Firstly, do you want to do the job yourself? Or would it be more viable for someone else to do it?
Backyard earthmoving. Is it you or is it me?
It is worthwhile mentioning that U Kanga Do It can cater for either option you choose for you backyard dirt work. It makes no difference to us which option you choose but it is worthwhile stopping to think about.
Do it yourself: We call this ‘dry hire’ and simply put, it is U Kanga Do It dropping the Kanga digger off to you so you can do the job yourself. The advantages here is that for as little as $250 you can get 8 engine hours of hard work done. My estimation is that 5 mates couldn’t do the same work in 3 days and you’ll barely break a sweat! You also experience the job satisfaction of doing your backyard earthmoving work whilst saving the money.
We do it: Our cute term for this service is ‘wet hire’. We can come with the machine and do the job for you. Our minimum wet hire is $300 which entitles you to 4 hours of our time including travel to and from your site. This is a great option for those people who have either a small job, need attachments or who need expertise on their dig out. For example, I recently did 20 meters of trenching down at Mclaren Vale. It was over one hour travelling each way, but the job only took 1 hour so the client easily fell inside our minimum hire term. He was happy especially because the trencher attachment was $50 as an addition to the base price of $250 for the digger. Which meant $300 if he did it, and $300 if I did it for him (6 of one….). He didn’t have any other work to be done with the mini digger so it worked like a dream. Because we are familiar and experienced with the Kanga loader, we can often complete jobs quicker and more precisely if the end result requires it.
So if you have a small job for a mini digger, or you are beyond our free delivery area, or have a specialized end result needed or just want to watch someone else do the work, consider our ‘wet hire’ service. Either way, you get your backyard earthmoving job completed for great value.
