We are experiencing an increase in people requesting a dingo machine with an operator of late. There are a few reasons for this not the least being price.
Should I hire a dingo with an operator?
It may actually work out better to use us as an operator while you watch the job being done with our dingo machine. Here are some reasons why.
- Cost: When you add an attachment to our machine such as an auger or trencher it makes it a zero sum game. At $300 for a dry hire with attachment or $300 for a minimum hire with an operator it seems obvious. Having said that, this applies IF you think the job can be completed in our min wet hire time frame which is 4 hours depot to depot. It also makes sense when your job at hand is the only thing you need to do. If you have lots of other things you could do during your 24 hour dry hire then dry hire is the better option.
- Expertise: Some clients know before hand that their job will get done more efficiently and professionally if an experienced operator is at the helm. This particularly applies in more technical situations. For example, work on slopes, leveling, trenching ect.
- Time: If you have a limitation of time then you can leave us to complete your job while you get done what you need to. In addition to this, most jobs are best done with two sets of hands. One operates the mini digger while the other works on the hand tools or runs levels, organizes dirt removal ect.
Next time you are planning your backyard creation, consider the option of a ‘wet hire’. That simply means that your dingo comes ‘wet’ with an experienced and efficient operator.
